Find where you fit
RevolutionVA is run by volunteers, so everything we do depends on somebody else showing up with a room, a budget, an audience, or an afternoon. Pick the path closest to what you have in mind. All three reach the same volunteer board.
For companies and employers
Sponsor
Put your company in front of the region's developers and fund the work that brings them together.
- Sponsor Hampton Roads DevFest. The next edition is in planning now.
- Sponsor a single event, such as a hack day or a Pop-up Meetup.
- Back the year-round programs through our Community Partner tier.
For libraries, universities, user groups, and venues
Host or collaborate
No budget needed. If you serve people who build software, or want to, we would like to work with you.
- Offer a room for a Pop-up Meetup.
- List your events in the 757 Tech newsletter. Listings are free.
- Co-host a topic, or introduce your audience to ours.
For individuals
Give or volunteer
One person can fund a scholarship ticket or run the registration desk. Both matter.
- Give monthly as a RevVA Supporter, or make a one-time gift.
- Volunteer at an event: registration, audio/video, photography, or day-of logistics.
- Propose a Pop-up Meetup topic. No speaking experience required.
What you would be backing
Registration counts from our own event records, added up across every conference. They are not unique people and not door counts. The full breakdown is on the events page.
What people say about DevFest
Hampton Roads DevFest is the center of the tech universe for this area. I’ve met many amazing people who I’ve been able to work with and partner with, and it’s a great way to learn about the innovation happening in Norfolk and surrounding areas. Every company in the area with software engineers should send their teams here to bring back and implement the best ideas.
As soon as I heard DevFest was coming back for a sixth year I scrambled to get a ticket. I was amazed at the depth of talent and expertise the area has—every person I spoke with was working on interesting things. Great venue, amazing speakers, and 100% worth it.
Hampton Roads DevFest is everything you’d want in a community event, truly local and truly impactful on your career and skills.
